In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC), by a final score of 11-4.
With the win, Watauga upgrades its record to 4-9 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to battle the Huskies in a challenge on Friday, April 29. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 5-9. Ashe County lost 9-4 in their recent league challenge against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
With the defeat, West Wilkes falls to 6-10 on the season.
