Argenta-Oreana Bombers (Argenta, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bombers now sport a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they host Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond for a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Friday, April 29. Argenta-Oreana will face a Knights squad coming off a 9-6 non-league loss to Mattoon (Mattoon, IL). The Knights record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Tri-Valley falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL) to face the Falcons in a Heart of Illinois challenge on Friday, April 29. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Olympia (Stanford, IL)
