Borden Braves (Borden, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Orleans Bulldogs (Orleans, IN), 7-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Braves now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Clarksville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. Borden will battle a Generals squad coming off a 21-4 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, IN). The Generals record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Orleans falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Springs Valley (French Lick, IN) to battle the Blackhawks in a Patoka Lake challenge on Tuesday, May 3. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a record of 9-1. Springs Valley won 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Paoli (Paoli, IN)
