Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Signal Mountain Eagles (Signal Mountain, TN) and the visiting Brainerd Panthers (Chattanooga, TN), witnessed Signal Mountain's softball squad prevail over Brainerd by a count of 16-0.

The Eagles now sport a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, April 28.

With the loss, Brainerd moves to 0-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Polk County (Benton, TN) to meet the Wildcats in a 2A District 4 match on Tuesday, May 3. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 8-10.
