Karns City Gremlins (Karns City, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cranberry Area Berries (Seneca, PA), 16-6 in a league challenge.

The Gremlins now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Clarion Area for a Keystone Shortway - South challenge on Monday, May 2. Karns City will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 17-5 league loss to Punxsutawney (Punxsutawney, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Cranberry Area falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Berries travel to Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA) to battle the Lions in a Keystone Shortway - South challenge on Saturday, April 30. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Clarion-Limestone lost 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA)
