Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now sport a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Joppa-Maple Grove for a South Egyptian challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Elverado will face a Rangers squad coming off a 20-0 non-league loss to Pope County (Golconda, IL). The Rangers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Meridian falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Egyptian (Tamms, IL) to face the Pharaohs in a South Egyptian challenge on Friday, April 29. The Pharaohs enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Egyptian lost 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Dongola (Dongola, IL)
