Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Woodmore Wildcats (Elmore, OH), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Chieftains now own a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they host Danbury for a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Friday, April 29.
With the loss, Woodmore falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Fostoria (Fostoria, OH) to battle the Redmen in a Northern Buckeye challenge on Friday, April 29. The Redmen enter the challenge with a record of 2-5.
