Orofino Maniacs (Orofino, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Prairie Pirates (Cottonwood, ID), 16-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Maniacs now own a 15-7 record.

With the loss, Prairie falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Potlatch (Potlatch, ID) to battle the Loggers in a 1A White Pine challenge on Saturday, April 30. The Loggers enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Potlatch won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Kendrick (Kendrick, ID)
