In Thursday's league contest, the St. John's Cadets (Washington, DC) softball team overwhelmed the host The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD), by a margin of 23-8.
With the triumph, St. John's moves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Cadets host Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA) to play the Knights in a Washington Catholic contest on Friday, April 29. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 10-0. Bishop O'Connell won 12-4 in their recent league contest against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD)
