In Thursday's non-league contest, the Valparaiso Vikings (Valparaiso, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN), by a margin of 5-0.

With the triumph, Valparaiso moves its record to 11-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to Michigan City (Michigan City, IN) to play the Wolves in a Duneland contest on Tuesday, May 3. The Wolves come into the contest with a record of 1-10.
