Connecticut High School Baseball - Newtown edged by Immaculate

The Immaculate Mustangs got by the visiting Newtown Nighthawks baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Fairfield for a Southwest - Patriot bout on Monday, May 1. Immaculate will face a Rebels team coming off a 5-2 league win over Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT). The Rebels record now stands at 7-5.

Next, the Nighthawks face the Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 29. Newtown will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Spartans enter the bout with a 6-3 record after their 12-2 league win over Platt (Meriden, CT).
