West Virginia High School Baseball - University prevails Shaler Area

April 28, 2023: Morgantown, WV 26508

The University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) baseball trounced the visiting Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA), 9-0 in Friday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Hawks encounter the Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, April 29. University will attempt to better on its 16-8 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 17-6 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV).

The Titans now sport a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mars for a WPIAL 5A 3 outing on Monday, May 1. Shaler Area will face a Fightin' Planets team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Nazareth Prep (Pittsburgh, PA). The Fightin' Planets record now stands at 11-6.
