Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad edge the host Copley Indians (Copley, OH), 11-10 in a non-league battle.
The Hawks now have a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they host Canfield for a Region 6 battle on Monday, May 1. Hawken will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Boardman (Youngstown, OH). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-3.
In their next game, the Indians clash with the Roosevelt Rough Riders (Kent, OH) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 2. Copley will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Rough Riders come into the battle with a 1-11 record after their 9-6 non-league loss to Louisville (Louisville, OH).
