Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the host John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV), 14-6 in a non-league battle.

The Patriots now have a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgantown for a WVSLA -DI East battle on Tuesday, May 2. Wheeling Park will clash with a Mohigans squad coming off a 15-2 non-league win over Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV). The Mohigans record now stands at 12-0.

In their next game, the Monarchs clash with the Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV) in a WVSLA -DII West battle, on Saturday, May 6. John Marshall will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 2-8 record after their 13-2 league loss to St. Albans (St. Albans, WV).
