Kansas High School Softball - Abilene holds off Beloit

Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Abilene Cowboys (Abilene, KS) and the host Beloit Trojans (Beloit, KS), witnessed Abilene's softball squad tip Beloit by a count of 12-10.
The Cowboys now sport a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Chapman for a North Central Kansas match on Tuesday, May 2. Abilene will meet a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 14-0 non-league win over Council Grove (Council Grove, KS). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Beloit moves to 8-2 on the season. The Trojans travel to Republic County (Belleville, KS) to meet the Buffaloes in a non-league match on Friday, May 5. The Buffaloes go into the match with a record of 3-7.
