In Friday's non-league contest, the Brownstown Central Braves (Brownstown, IN) softball team held off the visiting Indian Creek Braves (Trafalgar, IN), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Brownstown Central moves its record to 10-5 on the year. The Braves travel to Hauser (Hope, IN) to play the Jets in a non-league contest on Monday, May 1. The Jets come into the contest with a record of 9-3. Hauser won 7-0 in their recent league contest against Southwestern (Shelbyville, IN)
In their next game, the Braves play the Martinsville Artesians (Martinsville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 1. Indian Creek will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record. The Artesians come into the contest with a 8-7 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Roncalli (Indianapolis, IN).
