New York High School Softball - Cooperstown bounces Oxford Academy

Cooperstown Hawkeyes (Cooperstown, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Oxford Academy Blackhawks (Oxford, NY), 20-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Hawkeyes now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Oriskany for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. Cooperstown will battle a Redskins squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Hamilton (Hamilton, NY). The Redskins record now stands at 7-3.
With the loss, Oxford Academy falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Blackhawks host Harpursville (Harpursville, NY) to battle the Hornets in a Section 4 Midstate I challenge on Monday, May 1. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 3-2.
