Spectators at Friday's league match between the LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) and the visiting Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL), witnessed LeRoy's softball squad prevail over Eureka by a count of 14-4.

The Panthers now sport a 20-4 record. They play next when they travel to Fieldcrest for a Heart of Illinois match on Monday, May 1. LeRoy will face a Knights squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Fisher (Fisher, IL). The Knights record now stands at 2-14.

With the loss, Eureka moves to 3-16 on the season. The Hornets host Lexington (Lexington, IL) to face the Minutemen in a Heart of Illinois match on Monday, May 1. The Minutemen go into the match with a record of 10-11. Lexington won 6-5 in their recent non-league match against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL)
