The Kenton Ridge Cougars (Springfield, OH) softball routed the visiting Northwestern Warriors (Springfield, OH), 17-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars (16-5) will now prepare for their bout against Miami East (Casstown, OH). The Vikings go into the non-league bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Miami East toppled Troy Christian (Troy, OH), 15-0, in a league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Fairmont for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 2. Northwestern will confront a Firebirds squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Stebbins (Riverside, OH). The Firebirds record now stands at 6-9.
