Novato Hornets (Novato, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Miramonte Matadors (Orinda, CA), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tamalpais for a Marin County challenge on Monday, May 1. Novato will battle a Red Tailed Hawks squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Marin Catholic (Kentfield, CA). The Red Tailed Hawks record now stands at 8-9.

With the loss, Miramonte falls to 3-15 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Bethel (Vallejo, CA) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 4-11. Bethel won 21-19 in their recent league challenge against Vallejo (Vallejo, CA)
