In Friday's non-league contest, the Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Rogers Vikings (Newport, RI), by a margin of 8-1.

With the triumph, Narragansett moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Mariners travel to West Warwick (West Warwick, RI) to play the Wizards in a Division 2 contest on Monday, May 1. The Wizards come into the contest with a record of 5-3. West Warwick won 13-5 in their recent league contest against Lincoln (Lincoln, RI)

In their next game, the Vikings play the Shea Raiders (Pawtucket, RI) in a Division 3 contest, on Monday, May 1. Rogers will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Raiders come into the test with a 5-2 record after their 2-1 league win over Tiverton (Tiverton, RI).
