Nekoosa Papermakers (Nekoosa, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Tri-County Penguins (Plainfield, WI), 19-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Papermakers now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Wild Rose for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1.

With the loss, Tri-County falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Penguins travel to Pittsville (Pittsville, WI) to battle the Panthers in a Central Wisconsin - South challenge on Monday, May 1. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Pittsville lost 21-19 in their recent non-league challenge against Rosholt (Rosholt, WI)
