The North Kingstown Skippers softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Prout Crusaders to 6 in the Skippers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, North Kingstown improves its record to 5-6 on the year. The Skippers host La Salle Academy (Providence, RI) to clash with the Rams in a game on Tuesday, May 2. The Rams come into the game with a record of 9-3. La Salle Academy won 11-6 in their recent league game against St. Mary Academy-Bay View (East Providence, RI)

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Scituate Spartans (North Scituate, RI) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 1. Prout will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Spartans come into the game with a 1-8 record after their 11-2 league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI).
