The Voyager Academy Vikings (Durham, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC), 8-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they host Excelsior Classical Academy for a Triangle North 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 29. Voyager Academy will clash with a Flying Lions team coming off a 13-4 league loss to Roxboro Community (Roxboro, NC). The Flying Lions record now stands at 1-7.
With the defeat, Ayden - Grifton drops to 16-6 on the year. The Chargers travel to Washington (Washington, NC) to clash with the Pam Pack in a Eastern Plains 2A challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Pam Pack go into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Washington lost 9-1 in their recent league challenge against SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC)
