The Belton-Honea Path Bears baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Dixie Hornets to 2 in the Bears non-league win on Monday.
The Bears now own a 15-9 record. They take the field next when they host Easley for a non-league test on Thursday, May 1. Belton-Honea Path will play a Green Wave team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC). The Green Wave record now stands at 11-12.
With the defeat, Dixie drops to 16-6 on the year. The Hornets travel to Ninety Six (Ninety Six, SC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 30. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 11-8. Ninety Six won 7-2 in their recent non-league test against Ware Shoals (Ware Shoals, SC)
