New York High School Baseball - Pioneer holds off Bishop Timon-St. Jude

The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Pioneer Panthers (Yorkshire, NY) and the visiting Bishop Timon-St. Jude Tigers (Buffalo, NY), saw Pioneer's baseball team beat Bishop Timon-St. Jude by a margin of 5-1.

The Panthers (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Fredonia (Fredonia, NY). The Hillbillies enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Fredonia was overwhelmed by Depew (Depew, NY), 16-5, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tigers face the St. Mary's Lancers (Lancaster, NY) in a Monsignor Martin battle, on Tuesday, April 29. Bishop Timon-St. Jude will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Lancers enter the battle with a 3-6 record after their 7-0 league loss to Canisius (Buffalo, NY).
