The Lake Region Lakers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Traip Rangers to 4 in the Lakers non-league win on Monday.
The Lakers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freeport for a Class B South test on Wednesday, April 30. Lake Region will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Traip drops to 0-2 on the year. The Rangers host Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME) to clash with the Seagulls in a Class C South test on Wednesday, April 30. The Seagulls go into the test with a record of 2-0. Old Orchard Beach won 10-9 in their recent league test against Waynflete (Portland, ME)
