The Southwestern Piasa Birds smashed the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights soccer team by a tally of 5-1 in Monday's non-league game.

Next, the Piasa Birds face the Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) in a South Central game, on Monday, May 5. Southwestern will attempt to advance on its 4-12 season record.

The Knights (1-15) will now prepare for their game against Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL). The Explorers come into the Gateway Metro game with a 9-5 record. In their last game, Marquette Catholic edged Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL), 3-1, in a non-league game.
