William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) backers exited the stadium satisfied Monday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the host Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 12-11 in a league game.
With the victory, William Byrd improves its record to 6-2 on the season. The Terriers travel to Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA) to play the Titans in a River Ridge game on Thursday, May 1. The Titans come into the game with a record of 2-7. Hidden Valley lost 14-8 in their recent non-league game against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
The Wildcats now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salem for a River Ridge game on Thursday, May 1. Rockbridge County will play a Spartans team coming off a 17-3 league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-2.
