Illinois High School Softball - Rantoul bested by Bloomington Central Catholic

The Bloomington Central Catholic Saints triumphed over the visiting Rantoul Eagles softball squad by a count of 12-3 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Saints play the Peoria Notre Dame Irish (Peoria, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 30. Bloomington Central Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record. The Irish enter the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL).

The Eagles (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 9-12 record. In their last challenge, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond overcame Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL), 1-0, in a league challenge.
