Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Churchill Bulldogs (Potomac, MD), 5-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Huntingtown upgrades its record to 12-2 on the year. The Hurricanes host Chopticon (Morganza, MD) to play the Braves in a Southern Maryland game on Wednesday, April 30. The Braves enter the game with a record of 14-0. Chopticon won 16-1 in their recent league game against Lackey (Indian Head, MD)

The Bulldogs now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Quince Orchard for a Montgomery County 4A - West game on Tuesday, April 29. Churchill will play a Cougars squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.
