The Daviess County Panthers the visiting Floyd Central Jaguars softball squad by a count of 13-11 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers play the Henderson County Colonels (Henderson, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Daviess County will attempt to upgrade on its 19-4 season record. The Colonels enter the challenge with a 20-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY).
The Jaguars (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY). The Blackcats enter the District 58 challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Prestonsburg edged Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY), 13-12, in a league challenge.
