In Monday's league match, the host Ellington Knights softball team scored a tight 7-0 win over the Stafford Bulldogs.
The Knights (8-1) will now prepare for their match against Tolland (Tolland, CT). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 6-2 record. In their last match, Tolland nipped Windsor (Windsor, CT), 14-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Windham RVT Mighty Tigers (Willimantic, CT) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, April 29. Stafford will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Mighty Tigers come into the match with a 5-4 record after their 31-1 league win over Cheney Tech (Manchester, CT).
