The Henry-Senachwine Mallards got by the host Stark County Rebels softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Mallards meet the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) in a Tri-County challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Henry-Senachwine will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Bruins go into the challenge with a 11-6 record after their 9-5 league loss to Marquette (Ottawa, IL).
The Rebels (6-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL). The Storm go into the Lincoln Trail challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Bureau Valley was nudged by Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL), 11-1, in a league challenge.
