In Monday's non-league match, the host Hilltop Lancers softball team scored a tight 13-10 win over the Orange Glen Patriots.

The Lancers (10-10) will now prepare for their match against Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA). The Mariners come into the Metro South Bay match with a 6-12 record. In their last match, Mar Vista nipped Coronado (Coronado, CA), 2-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the La Jolla Country Day Torreys (La Jolla, CA) in a Pacific match, on Tuesday, April 29. Orange Glen will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Torreys come into the match with a 4-10 record after their 8-3 league loss to Classical Academy (Escondido, CA).
