The Ledyard Colonels triumphed over the host Plainfield Panthers softball squad by a count of 16-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Colonels meet the St. Bernard Saints (Uncasville, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 29. Ledyard will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 7-0 league win over Wheeler (North Stonington, CT).
The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Whippets enter the Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Windham was routed by Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT), 15-11, in a league challenge.
