North Daviess Cougars (Elnora, IN) supporters left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN), 4-3 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, North Daviess improves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Shakamak (Jasonville, IN) to play the Lakers in a Southwestern Indiana game on Thursday, May 1. The Lakers enter the game with a record of 4-7.

The Chargers now hold a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Pocket game on Wednesday, April 30. Pike Central will play a Hatchets squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Wood Memorial (Oakland City, IN). The Hatchets record now stands at 0-11.
