The Springfield Cougars baseball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting Academy Park Knights to 0 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.
The Cougars (10-2) will now prepare for their match against Ridley (Folsom, PA). The Raiders go into the Central match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Ridley ran past Harriton (Rosemont, PA), 7-0, in a league match.
The Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Penn Wood (Lansdowne, PA). The Patriots go into the Delaware Valley match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Penn Wood was overwhelmed by Chester (Chester, PA), 15-4, in a league match.
