The Lexington Minutemen baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Melrose Red Raiders to 8 in the Minutemen non-league victory on Friday.
The Minutemen (6-6) will now prepare for their match against Stoneham (Stoneham, MA). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 10-4 record. In their last match, Stoneham was edged by Arlington (Arlington, MA), 7-6, in a non-league match.
The Red Raiders (8-8) will now prepare for their match against Swampscott (Swampscott, MA). The Big Blue go into the non-league match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Swampscott was edged by Marblehead (Marblehead, MA), 5-4, in a league match.
