West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears (Juneau, AK), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) in a Cook Inlet challenge, on Wednesday, May 4. West Anchorage will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 1-0 league win over Bartlett (Anchorage, AK).
The Crimson Bears now possess a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grace Christian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 30. Juneau-Douglas will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 16-1 league win over Redington (Wasilla, AK). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-2.
