Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Lake County Panthers (Leadville, CO), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Florence Huskies (Florence, CO) in a 3A Tri Peaks challenge, on Tuesday, May 3. Salida will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 5-0 league loss to St. Mary's (Colorado Springs, CO).

The Panthers now possess a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host DSST: Montview for a 3A/2A Frontier challenge on Monday, May 2. Lake County will confront a Knights team coming off a 4-0 league win over Bruce Randolph (Denver, CO). The Knights record now stands at 2-10.
