Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Ironmen now own a 9-5 record. They take the field next when they host Normal West for a challenge on Tuesday, May 3. Normal Community will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Rantoul falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Monticello (Monticello, IL) to battle the Sages in a challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Sages enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
