The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) and the host Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL), saw Hillcrest's lacrosse team achieve victory over Taft by a margin of 21-16.

The Hawks (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL). The Warriors enter the South Suburban challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln-Way West was overwhelmed by Washington (Washington, IL), 9-5, in a league challenge.

The Eagles (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Chicago, IL). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Northside was overwhelmed by Kenwood (Chicago, IL), 1-0, in a league challenge.
