The crowd at Friday's league match between the Armstrong Trojans (Armstrong, IL) and the host Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL), saw Armstrong's softball squad achieve victory over Iroquois West by a count of 12-3.

The Trojans now sport a 8-10 record. They take the field next when they host Oakwood for a Vermilion Valley match on Monday, May 2. Armstrong will face a Comets squad coming off a 17-9 non-league loss to North Vermillion (Cayuga, IN). The Comets record now stands at 4-15.

With the loss, Iroquois West falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Milford (Milford, IL) to face the Bearcats in a Vermilion Valley match on Monday, May 2. The Bearcats enter the match with a record of 6-6. Milford lost 10-0 in their recent league match against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL)
