Barrington Fillies/Broncos (Barrington, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL), 17-2 in a league challenge.

The Fillies/Broncos now own a 19-3 record. They take the field next when they host Buffalo Grove for a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Monday, May 2. Barrington will battle a Bison squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL). The Bison record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Wheeling falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL) to battle the Saxons in a Mid-Suburban West challenge on Monday, May 2. The Saxons enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Schaumburg won 9-1 in their recent league challenge against Fremd (Palatine, IL)
