The Woodland Regional Hawks softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Holy Cross Crusaders to 0 in the Hawks league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Woodland Regional moves its record to 13-0 on the year. The Hawks travel to Oxford (Oxford, CT) to play the Wolverines in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass game on Monday, May 2. The Wolverines come into the game with a record of 10-2. Oxford won 16-0 in their recent league game against Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT)
In their next game, the Crusaders play the Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 2. Holy Cross will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record. The Chiefs come into the game with a 6-2 record after their 4-0 league win over Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT).
