Poland Knights (Poland, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mt. Blue Cougars (Farmington, ME), 20-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 10-0 record. They take the field next when they host Wells for a Class B South challenge on Wednesday, May 4. Poland will face a Warriors squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Fryeburg (Fryeburg, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Mt. Blue falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Skowhegan (Skowhegan, ME) to face the River Hawks in a Class A North challenge on Saturday, April 30. The River Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Skowhegan won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME)
