The Sayre Spartans baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Pikeville Panthers to 0 in the Spartans non-league victory on Saturday.
The Spartans (19-6) will now prepare for their match against Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 18-4 record. In their last match, Beechwood edged Hazard (Hazard, KY), 7-4, in a non-league match.
The Panthers (16-8) will now prepare for their match against Mountain Mission (Grundy, VA). The Challengers go into the non-league match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Mountain Mission edged River View (Bradshaw, WV), 13-5, in a non-league match.
