In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Summit Tigers soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Salida Spartans.
The Tigers (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Glenwood Springs (Glenwood Springs, CO). The Demons come into the 4A Western Slope battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Glenwood Springs was nudged by Montrose (Montrose, CO), 4-1, in a non-league battle.
