The Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights triumphed over the visiting Capital Cougars lacrosse team by a score of 9-4 in Saturday's non-league match.
With the win, Wheeling Central Catholic upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Maroon Knights travel to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV) to play the Patriots in a WVSLA -DI West match on Friday, May 5. The Patriots go into the match with a record of 5-4. Wheeling Park lost 11-4 in their recent league match against Morgantown (Morgantown, WV)
With the defeat, Capital drops to 2-7 on the season. The Cougars travel to St. Albans (St. Albans, WV) to play the Red Dragons in a WVSLA -DII West match on Wednesday, May 3. The Red Dragons go into the match with a record of 3-7. St. Albans lost 14-13 in their recent non-league match against Mountain State (Ona, WV)
